Stage 28 is a stage in Death Mode. It's the 8th stage with 5 rounds and hard opponents.
Obstacle[]
Stage 28 has Giant Earthworms. These hideous giant creatures can come out of the ground or they can enter the screen from the sides. When they come from the ground, they will go straight upwards, but don't fully come out of the ground. When the character is standing in the position where it emerges, they will be pushed into the air, and sometimes will even die, and all that will be left of them is a skull and a few bones. When they come from the sides, they dive into the ground with a curve. When you touch the earthworm, you are likely to get crushed, and once again all that will remain of you is a skull and some bones. Your opponents in the four rounds before the boss round are usually Switzerland, Singapore, Uruguay and Hong Kong (not particularly in that order), unless one of them is in the cages and is replaced by either Ukraine or Serbia. In the boss round, you are against Mon-K, who is wearing the Spinning Hands Costume. The earthworms can also come out of both goals and reach near the midline. You will then be pushed forward, and occasionally die.
Tips & Tricks[]
It might be hard to avoid when an earthworm emerges from your side of the screen and dives into the ground in a curved arc. When you feel like the worm might hit you, walk backwards (to your goal) instead of forwards. That is proven to work better.
They can also come from the goal, so dash as far and fast as you can, without losing control of the ball as you move to the opponent's goal.
Finally, they come from the ground. This is very hard, as it can separate and block you from the ball, block power shots or eat you.
Mistake[]
In the boss match against Mon-K, there can also come earthworms out of the goals. When the worm is still there after a new kick-off, it will be in front of the player. Then, when the earthworm leaves the screen, it will take the player with it and the player will never return on the field, which is a terrible mistake.
Reward[]
Winning the first four rounds will get you 2,800 points, if you beat the boss you'll receive 5,600 points.
